My years of experience make me comfortable in the teacher’s chair while my satisfaction from students’ accomplishments makes me love this job. One thing I tell all my students is that one of the hardest parts about playing an instrument can be patience, which I also believe can be one of the hardest parts about teaching. But I never rush my communicating theory or skills. I have a degree in jazz piano and specialize in jazz theory/harmony, blues, improvisation and playing by ear.
